Solentiname (English)
In the 1970s, Ana Cristina Henríquez undertook a perilous trip from Venezuela to Nicaragua to do a photographic coverage of the Nicaraguan poet Ernesto Cardenal. Several decades later, her photographs give us a close look at the daily life of this personality in the legendary Solentiname community.

Párpados entreabiertos
(Half-Open Eyes)
Spanish Edition
“The half-open eyes regulate the light we perceive; this image of the title announces a poet who delves into the crossroads of love as well as into the mysteries of light. In the same way, the half-open eyes moderate the overflow of the gaze, placing us in a sort of intermediate region, suitable both for interiorization and for attending to the essential, filtering the accessory and letting only the threads of light that make up the material of the fabric that we find in the poetry of Ana Cristina Henríquez; this circumstance, being linked in a predilected way to dreams, explains why a dreamlike atmosphere envelops her poems: That to look at reality under another filter and other codes, to take shelter inside, as one who takes care of the rain.”.

Las puertas del sueño
(The Gates to Dreams)
Spanish Edition
«Passionate anthology of poems, the author transports the reader to an underworld of emotions found through a throbbing lyric; the zero degree of existence as a starting point, where desire and death intertwine and whose destiny is: (as Octavio Paz defined the object of poetry) as the search, through uncertainty, of the «other» who left or who never was. Poetry of great inner strength, highly recommended».
